Getting rid of my DOUBLE CHIN.

Hello!

So there once was a girl who moved to LA, and as things go, she got a bit older and put on few lbs. It wasn't crazy and the weight went into places that were okay, but one of them just happened to be in her face.

She really had chubby cheeks her whole life, but the double, the double was new.

This double appeared in every photo, in every video, anything that she was doing, and it was REAL apparent.

Yes this girl is me.

A few months ago, I did a video for a brand, where I felt fine, whatever, and when the video was released, my GOD. My face was seriously chubby, and my chin had multiplied. I have always had a pumpkin head, but this was next level.

It was really embarrassing and honestly, I want to never see that video again. I feel bad for the brand actually, I didn't even promote it I was so embarrassed. You know those things you think of and shudder?

Yes that's it.

So I looked into Kybella. Which is an injectable that dissolves fat, and does so for people under their chin. But I just didn't want to risk that, and it's expensive as fuck since you need to get more than one vial of it most likely. PLUS you puff up before it settles and dissolves.

So I got an email from NuFace, about their new 'microcurrent' device. Not sure what it was, but when it came I was down to try it.

It's promoted like a workout for your face, to tighten, tone and lift. Which I needed! So it was perfect.

I need to be honest too that, I was not expecting for it to work, and I was not expecting for it to change my LIFE.

Honestly, my face structure is better than it's ever been. I like, understand how celebrities keep their faces tight, their cheekbones high and looking more chic.

First I need to tell you that I was not paid to write this. I was gifted NuFace but I just really think it works and want to share it with you. I have been talking about it on The Almost 30 Podcast and in our secret FB group.

What it is:

"Microcurrent is a clinically tested therapy treatment, and one of the hottest innovations in the anti-aging industry. It is used in top spas and medical offices for facial contouring, toning and firming of aging skin. Microcurrent is a low-level current that mimics the body’s natural current and can provide both instant and cumulative anti-aging results. Because microcurrent works sub-sensory, the treatment is soothing and most clients feel nothing at all.

Micro-current is a safe and effective technology for clients who wish to attain and maintain a healthier, younger looking appearance. The results can be so dramatic that micro-current therapy treatments are often referred to as the "5 Minute Facial-lift."

It's a small, hand held device that you basically work along your face, to tighten. It doesn't feel like anything, and I basically think of it as little shocks that work to 'work out' the face.

How I use it:

First, I cleanse the skin with a regular cleanser. I love Dermalogica, Kopari and BioClarity.

Next, I apply your choice of NuFACE Gel Primer in a mask-like layer in sections as you treat, beginning with the cheek. Skin should appear wet, and you should feel little to no sensation from the device.

Then, I turn on the device and toggle the appropriate button until all of the blue lights are illuminated. Intensity can be adjusted. I keep it high just because.

I run it over the structure of my face. So starting along my jaw line, under my chin, and underneath my cheekbones...I really just follow slowly the structure of my face. Concentrating on the areas that I feel need the most help like my chin and jawline area.

You can read the official NuFace directions here.

Okay what questions? I have the NuFace Mini - which is perfect and I've been taking it on the go with me when I travel.

I will say that you do need to use it as directed to see a difference. For me that was once a day for 10-15 minutes for about 8 weeks. Now I use it a few times a week and for the amount of effort I put in (very little, I do it watching TV or in my car) it's been a game changer for my confidence level when in photos, videos, etc.

Okay :) had to share! Let me know what Q's or tricks you have for your double?

xoxo
