Why did I ever wear low rise jeans: MY NEW FAVORITES + jeans for your body type

Honestly though.

Why did I ever put myself through wearing low rise jeans? I think YES they look good on some people, like really good. But me, not so much, my body isn't a low rise jean body (whatever that means) and I realize now as I sit here typing with my jeans up near by bra line, how good it feels to relax my stomach and just...BE.

In my high-rise ultra flattering jeans.

Nothing better. Sucks you in, and you don't need to worry about your butt crack or thong hanging out (even though in High School I think that was the point sometimes...LOL.

So I wanted to share some of my tried and true high-rise jean favorites, so that you can save yourself the pain of trying to search and search and then overspend on your denim.

You can shop my new favorite high-waisted jeans here (from DL1961 Denim) and the rest of my look:

Finding Jeans for Your Body Type:

For me, I am more apple shaped (sexy I know) So, for apple shapes, your best rise of jeans is a higher waisted denim style that sits just at your natural waist. This style of jean helps me to visually focus on the legs,, while helping to cinch in that tummy.

If you're curvy all over with a smaller waist, you can wear a high-rise jean to showcase your booty and waist. To do this, look for a rise from 10" to 13" that hits above your natural waist. Then you can werk it all you want babes.

For boyish body types: your best in a distressed pair of low rise jeans, or for a crisp pair for work, any slim leg will work on you, so shop around to fill out your denim wardrobe and you'll be prepared for all occasions.

Shorter women (of any shape) can get a flattering effect by choosing jeans with a medium or slightly higher waistband. If you're a curvy petite, you'll look best in the higher mid-rise jeans.

IS IT SPRING YET? Blush tones + giving what you want to receive

Holllyyyyy guacamole y'all I am BACK FROM ZE DEAD.

Back in action after the flu got me (even though I say, "I never get sick!" ALL THE TIME).

How are you though? Hoping 2017 feels good for ya!

Any tips for me? Let me know :)

I'm writing this post from inspiration I received from a podcast I was on recently with Lindsey, T&A Talk Sex.

It was SO FUN.

And also, I am all sorts of bashful talking about sex.

Seriously, LOL, I don't think you'd think it, but for some reason I get real shy talking about sex shit. Especially since I'm in a committed relationship with Justin, and wanna keep our life private ya know?

But I spilled a little :) nothing crazy but had a lot of fun on the podcast answering questions from their guests on dating older guys, and the Uber sexual harassment case....

You can listen to it here!

But the part about it that was so good, was hearing Christina talk about giving what you want to receive.

Yes, seems counter intuitive right?

But as an example, if you're wanting more love and attention from your honey, instead of begging or requesting it, give them that attention that you crave.

If you're feeling a bit insecure about yourself, think about giving a compliment to someone else.

I LOVE this, and try to practice or or think about it with all my relationships. If I am feeling off or want something, I am trying to give it first before asking for it.

I love what Gabrielle Bernstein says about this, via

"Take a close look at what you’ve been longing to receive and ask yourself; is this something I’m not giving? By taking an honest inventory you’ll come to see how your actions have been reflected back to you.

Once you’re clear about what you’ve been withholding it’s time to give it. Give the love you’ve been denying, give the forgiveness to the person you’ve been resenting, give the attention to the health you’ve been ignoring. Give what you want to receive and feel your energy shift."

So good right?

Take it sisters and USE THIS :)

Okay so to the outfit deets for this one, I LOVE THIS LOOK.

Good blush tones, love how casual, and that you can wear it almost any season in L.A. I feel like it's the most feminine thing right now to add some blush in your life. I'm not usually a feminine dresser (more edgy) but I love how it makes me...feel? LOL.

Shania Twain plays, "Man, I feel like a woman". HA.

You know I'm a huge fan of ASOS and Free People, plus I shared this natural make-up look.

I'm getting so excited for spring, even though in L.A. the winter isn't so bad :).

SPRING VIBES: obsessing over BLUSH

Hi babes!

Really happy about the spring weather happening, right? It's been SO GORGEOUS out, and I am cherishing every little moment of this in between season. Where it's not too hot, or too cold, and you can go from summer to fall type clothes between day and night.

I'm really into a lot of the spring fashions and trends right now, and I am going to break it up into a few different fashion focused posts, because I'm THAT into it.

The first is probably my favorite. BLUSH.

All BLUSH everything. I love love it! It's so flattering on all hair colors, blondes and brunettes alike. It's flattering on all skin tones, from dark to light and it's just super classic. You can wear it with black, which I love, to give it a bit of an edge, or you can wear it with white to be ultra feminine.

It's just so in right now and I don't know what took so long?

I have a few different pieces I am acquiring, but really loving this lace up trend, and this long bell sleeve dress from Forever 21. It's a bit sexy, comfortable and flattering.

Okay so enough from me. What's your favorite? Any blush pieces you really love?

Definitely feeling the easy breezy blouses too! I love it with ripped skinnies right now.

Can't wait to hear from you. Have the best week!
