Why did I ever wear low rise jeans: MY NEW FAVORITES + jeans for your body type

Honestly though.

Why did I ever put myself through wearing low rise jeans? I think YES they look good on some people, like really good. But me, not so much, my body isn't a low rise jean body (whatever that means) and I realize now as I sit here typing with my jeans up near by bra line, how good it feels to relax my stomach and just...BE.

In my high-rise ultra flattering jeans.

Nothing better. Sucks you in, and you don't need to worry about your butt crack or thong hanging out (even though in High School I think that was the point sometimes...LOL.

So I wanted to share some of my tried and true high-rise jean favorites, so that you can save yourself the pain of trying to search and search and then overspend on your denim.

You can shop my new favorite high-waisted jeans here (from DL1961 Denim) and the rest of my look:

Finding Jeans for Your Body Type:

For me, I am more apple shaped (sexy I know) So, for apple shapes, your best rise of jeans is a higher waisted denim style that sits just at your natural waist. This style of jean helps me to visually focus on the legs,, while helping to cinch in that tummy.

If you're curvy all over with a smaller waist, you can wear a high-rise jean to showcase your booty and waist. To do this, look for a rise from 10" to 13" that hits above your natural waist. Then you can werk it all you want babes.

For boyish body types: your best in a distressed pair of low rise jeans, or for a crisp pair for work, any slim leg will work on you, so shop around to fill out your denim wardrobe and you'll be prepared for all occasions.

Shorter women (of any shape) can get a flattering effect by choosing jeans with a medium or slightly higher waistband. If you're a curvy petite, you'll look best in the higher mid-rise jeans.

Living in: FRAYED DENIM + my favorite sweater for under $35

Greetings! Hello!

Glad you're here! Seriously, I am! :)

What did you do for Valentine's Day/Galentine's Day? Anything FUN?

We did a low-key night at a new restaurant I've been wanting to try! I had Justin plan it (ladies tell them EXPLICITLY what you want them to do, it makes life much easier - LOL). For him, I ordered heart shaped pizzas to his office (like 7 of them - HA) and they had a little pizza party for V-Day.

I know what a guy likes, and it's $100 worth of ZA.

Oh and, when Justin commented, 'new sweater?' sarcastically to me when I came home from work last week, I realized that I needed to share the outfit I have been living in lately.

Frayed denim, and this over-sized sweater.

I have gotten SO MANY compliments on this mustard number. People seem to love the color, and that it looks way more expensive than it is.

Plus, it's so cozy chic.

I'm VERY in to the marigold/mustard color since it looks good on blondes, brunettes, and redheads alike! I usually throw it on with jeans, black denim, and I've even worn it out to dinner with my OTK boots and a black tight dress for that over-sized sweater sexy vibe.

The jeans and the hat I got on the Luv.it app, which I told you about in a previous post and shared on my Instagram here.

I've been using to app to shop because it's SO EASY and because I've already made cash back just from shopping. Highly recommend reading the full post here.

Luv.it's made shopping easier, because you just scroll a curated feed of what other people are shopping, what's trending, what's new...rather than to search aimlessly on websites for inspo.

The internet, is like shopping at Forever 21, lots happening, (most of it bad), but if you spend the day searching you'll find some REAL gems.

But who has that time?

The luv.it app makes the experience seamless for you.

You guys know, that Luv.it is the app that luvs you back (by giving you cash MONAY each time you buy, or when someone buys something you 'luv'!)

This is my favorite part about the app because it gives people who aren't in rewardstyle or shopstyle the chance to earn $.

I found these jeans, and this hat on Luv.it. Two things which I would have never found otherwise.

With Luv.It you can find up and coming designers, modern brands, and trending products like these jeans that just arrived this week. You can see what it's like to shop these items, below!

Download Luv.It and let's follow eachother (@hundredblogla)!

Shop the post:

$32 Loop Knit Open Front Cardigan

Jagger Black Hat by KINHATS from Luv.it

(similiar from Brixton Women's here - this one I wore in Big Sur and I love it too)

Hustler Ankle Fray Denim Jeans from Luv.it

Urban Outfitters Textured Knit V-Neck Tee in Grey

Have you guys gotten the app yet? Let me know so I can see what you're into!

Hope you're having the best week. Thanks for reading, means the MOST.

Happy WEDNESDAY!

Trendy ripped jeans for CHEAP.

Well hi guys!

We all know my Forever 21 love runs DEEP.

They're on point with current trends and as we all know - it's oh so cheap! Which makes it easy to stay on top of what's popular in fashion now, especially with trends that may or may not last. For example, I have a fringed kimono I wore to Coachella last year, and...never again.

Ripped jeans, which were so big in the 8th grade are officially and have been BACK.

Remember the Abercrombie days where there were technically ripped but also bell bottom at the same time? HA.Those jeans were like $89 dollars which was so much in high school!

Also bell bottoms, have made a return! Fashion is truly cyclical.

But there is something about ripped jeans that looks so effortless.

(effortless/homeless hehe)

Model off-duty vibe, yo.

^ my tourist selfie shot lol

I wore my Forever 21 ripped jeans last week when I went with Justin for lunch in Culver City. We were on a mission to find this amazing graffiti that I had seen somewhere on Instagram. I LOVE street art. The colors, how it's always evolving, that it's temporary so you need to be at the right place at the right time to see it before it's painted over or tagged on...

Anyway, it was a perfect day for low key ripped jeans, a leather jacket, acid wash t-shirt and flats. I was super comfortable, warm enough and it wasn't try hard - which is a theme in my fashion as of late.

I had to share my cheap ripped jeans picks, of course! All are under $40 dollars, which is about the price point I'm at lately.

My favorite, super cheap jean picks from Forever 21:

Contemporary Life in Progress Ripped Skinny Jeans $24.90

Destroyed Boyfriend Jeans $29.90

Distressed Skinny Jeans $37.90

Distressed Boyfriend Jeans $24.90

The ones I am wearing are the second pick, the distressed boyfriend jeans. I wear them every.single.day. because they are so comfortable and I like the edgy look.

The rest from this easy day look:

Tank top: Current Elliott Muscle Tank in Black Beauty

Good under everything, it fits just right and is super soft.

Jacket: Mackage Leather Trim Wool Blend Jacket

This jacket it WORTH IT. Fashionable, warm and just looks cool. If you're somewhere cold, it's good to wear over outfits to dinner.

Sunglasses: Ray Ban

I wear these all the time, they have such a variety of colored lenses too so definitely check those out.

Shoes: Joie Kidmore Embossed Leather Sneaker Black

These I wear EVERYDAY. So easy, black and they slip right on.

Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Weave Bag (I'm pretty sure it's a knock off Bottega Veneta)

This bag fits everything, laptop, water bottle, notebook....I got mine on Gilt and they don't seem to make it anymore, but if you want more details - just ask me I can send product info! <3

I know my friends on the east coast may need to opt for the less 'holey' jeans here, but how sexy are they? I love this easy cool look for the day

If you have any good pairs or brands, SHARE! I am super open to exploring outside of Forever 21.

Have a good week, lovers! Love reading your comments and feedback.

xx
